The Merrow Method is a medical aesthetics clinic at Haus of Tan, 16 Ann Street, Shiremoor, NE27 0QR. We are the "data controller" for the personal information described here, which means we decide how and why it is used.

• Booking details: your name, phone number, email address and appointment history, which you give when you book through Fresha.
• Health information: your medical history, consultation notes, treatment records and consent forms.
• Photographs: clinical before-and-after photographs, taken only with your agreement.
• Messages: anything you send us by email, phone or social media.
• Payment records: what you paid and when. Card details are handled by the payment provider; we do not see or store them.

• To assess you, treat you safely and keep clinical records. Our basis is providing the service you have asked for, and, for health information, the provision of health care by a health professional.
• To manage appointments, send reminders and take payment. Our basis is our contract with you.
• To keep the records that the law, our insurer and our professional regulator require.
• To send news or offers, only if you have asked to receive them. You can withdraw that consent at any time.

We never sell your information. We share it only with:

• Fresha, which runs our booking system. Its own policy is at terms.fresha.com/privacy-policy.
• Payment providers, to process your payment.
• A prescriber or pharmacy, where a treatment needs a prescription.
• Our insurer, regulator or the authorities, where the law requires it.

We do not share your information with any other organisation.

• Treatment records: seven years from the date of the treatment, as our insurer requires.
• Before-and-after photographs of injectable treatments: two years, together with your decision on whether they may be published.
• Marketing preferences: until you unsubscribe.

We review what we hold regularly, and securely delete or destroy information once it is no longer needed.

Clinical photographs form part of your treatment record. When they are taken we ask whether you agree to them being published for marketing. We will never use a photograph of you on this website, on social media or in any advertising without that consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

This website does not use cookies or advertising trackers, and it has no forms that collect your details. If you switch the colour theme, that choice is saved in your own browser and is not sent to us.

IONOS, the company that hosts the website, keeps standard technical logs, such as IP addresses, for security.

Booking takes place on Fresha's website, where Fresha's own privacy and cookie policies apply.

You have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
• ask us to correct anything that is wrong;
• ask us to delete it, where we are not required by law to keep it;
• object to, or ask us to limit, how we use it;
• withdraw any consent you have given.

To use any of these, email us at the address above. We will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
