Your questions answered
Uncertainty is completely natural. Here are clear, honest answers to the questions Lauren receives most often from clients in North Tyneside.
Ask anything. Answered honestly.
My approach is to preserve what makes you look like you. We’ll discuss your preferences, assess your face as a whole and agree on realistic goals. I favour considered changes that respect your natural features and expression—and I’ll be honest if I feel a treatment would take us away from that.
Some treatments can feel uncomfortable, and everyone experiences that differently. I’ll explain what to expect and the comfort measures available for your chosen treatment. We can take breaks whenever you need them; you don’t have to sit quietly and push through.
You’re very welcome here. Your first appointment can simply be a conversation: time to ask questions, share your concerns and understand your options. There’s no pressure to have treatment, and you’re welcome to go home and think things over.
Sometimes, depending on the treatment, your suitability and the appointment time available. We’ll need to complete your assessment and discuss the benefits, risks, alternatives and aftercare first. Treatments requiring a prescription also need the appropriate prescribing consultation. There’s no expectation that you’ll decide on the day.
That depends on your treatment and how your body responds. Redness, swelling or bruising may occur, and some treatments take longer to settle than others. Tell me about any holidays or special occasions so we can plan sensibly. I’ll explain the likely recovery and aftercare for your treatment before you decide.
You don’t need to work that out yourself. Start with what you’ve noticed and how you’d like to feel. I’ll assess your face and skin, consider your medical history and explain suitable options. Sometimes that means a gradual treatment plan; sometimes it means skincare advice or recommending no treatment at all.
